Artist Spotlight: International
Di Melo Arte
I like to sometimes hashtag my Instagram photos and videos with relevant words in different languages. I wanted to meet cool people from around the world. I think I met Di Melo virtually on Instagram 10+ years ago thanks to either the Portuguese word for flower #Flor ⚘ or maybe it was the beautiful nostalgic word #Saudade? I did not know he was an artist back then, but I did realize that throughout the years he produced very interesting art and had a deep love for music as much as I do.
I am proud to share Lisbon's wonderful artist, Di Melo Arte. His art is like a fun cocktail between vintage music poster art, a more refined Syd Barrett: Gerald Scarfe, and a really cool modern graphic novel that hasn't been made yet. (Psst... In my opinion, I think Di Melo Arte should create a graphic novel about music.)
...and now it is my great pleasure to welcome you all to Di Melo Arte's interview and art.

As Pablo Picaso said, inspiration finds me working...
Of course, the work of other artists, as well as the shapes, smells, flavors and sensations that I encounter on a daily basis, serve as drivers of my creativity, but they are the goals and objectives that I define for each collection that I decide to create, which gives me the so-called inspiration.
